Habitat: Primary and secondary rainforests, from 50 to 400 meters.

Diet: Primarily ants, beetles, and other small insects.

Conservation Status: Endangered.

Threats: Habitat loss due to deforestation and agriculture.

Predators: While generally avoided due to toxicity, some snakes and birds have developed resistance.

Cultural Significance: The frog's poison is used by indigenous Emberá people to tip hunting darts.
